Mechanical Design
Overview
The Mechanical Design Micro-Credential provides skills-focused professional development and experiential learning activities for students or working professionals needing a basic understanding of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Agile Project Management. This credential is earned by completing one required, instructor-led course at Rose State College called “Introduction to Mechanical Design and Project Management” and two self-paced certifications.

Earning Criteria
- Complete the “Introduction to Mechanical Design and Project Management” instructor-led course. Topics covered include CAD overview, Agile Project Management, and logistics for completing self-paced certifications.
- Earn the Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) in Mechanical Design certification, demonstrating understanding of features used to create 3D parts and assemblies.
- Complete an Agile Project Management certification or the Agile Certified Practitioner certification from any provider.
