Information Technology Specialist (Security)
Overview
Earners of the CompTIA Security+ Certification will have developed the necessary entry-level skills to effectively perform core security functions in IT. This micro-credential prepares students to meet eligibility requirements for many entry-level cybersecurity job roles. There are two options available to complete this micro-credential.

Transfer Option

Earning Criteria
- Option 1 - Complete Rose State College CIT 2323 Security+ Certification Preparation course with a minimum grade of B.
- Option 2 - Complete CompTIA Security+ online self-study training course with accompanying labs and practice tests AND complete 40 hours of instructor-led CompTIA Security+ exam preparation training.
- Option 1 AND Option 2 - Complete and pass CompTIA Security+ exam.
